Spain's Wild North

CANTABRIA:
Cliffs, Dream Beaches and a Bit of Everything

Big Scenery in Small Cantabria

No. Cantabria is not located in southern Italy, but on Spain's northern coast, on the "Mar Cantábrico," as the entire Bay of Biscay is called in Spanish. In addition to anchovies and giant pastry hearts, small Cantabria boasts enormous cliffs, fine sandy beaches, and fantastic views over the endless ocean.

CATALUNYA:
Pure Nature Around Cap de Creus

Calas, rocks and tuna at Cap de Creus in Catalonia

It doesn't always have to be the Atlantic – the Spanish Mediterranean coast also has a lot more wild places to offer to us sea kayakers than many people realize. Cap de Creus, in the very north of Catalonia, is a dream for anyone who loves a wonderful mix of Mediterranean flair, exciting rocky coastlines, and untouched nature. Outside of the summer season, you'll find beautiful, secluded coves ("calas") and beaches everywhere, inviting you to linger. And in the crystal-clear sea, we almost always encounter tuna during spring and autumn time.

JERSEY:
The Happy Island of Tides

Huge Tides, Pink Granite and Picturesque Lighthouses – That’s Jersey

If Jersey didn't already exist, we'd have to invent it! This beautiful island in the Bay of Saint-Malo has everything we sea kayakers dream of in a very small space: massive tidal ranges of up to 12 meters, exposed rocky coastlines and capes with exciting tide races, vast intertidal zones, and lots and lots of country charm. A small, green paradise in the ever-changing flow of the tides.
